The conflicts in the novel are mostly the stories of Huck and Jim. Huck is trying to run away from his pa and the widow. He does not want to live so boring and regularly as the widow wants him to live, go to school and such things. While he does not want to live with his terrible drunken dad that locks him up when he goes to town and drinks. Jim on the other hand wants to become free by getting to the city Cairo, so that he can earn money and buy free his family.
